Step-by-Step Guide to Getting a Lithuanian Descent Certificate

Applicants must submit their request in person at the Migration Department or Lithuanian Consular Office abroad. The application must include:

• A valid travel document or personal identification document
• Proof of Lithuanian descent
• Kinship verification documents
• The declaration that the person believes to be Lithuanian
• Two identical photos (40x60 mm)
• Name change documentation (if applicable)

This certificate has no expiry date – it shall be issued for an unlimited period of time.
