Business Immigration.
One of the most common reasons for granting a residence permit is to conduct a business in accordance with the Lithuanian law.

IMMIGRATION PROGRAMS:

INVESTMENT I immigration program

Temporary residence permit to live in Lithuania on the basis of legal activity and the intention to carry it out is issued to a foreigner, when the following conditions are met:

1. The foreigner is a manager or a shareholder of a Lithuanian company, whose owned shares have a nominal value of no less than 1/3 of the authorized capital of the company;
2. The value of the Lithuanian company's capital is no less than 28 000 Euros, of which no less than 14 000 Euros are funds or other assets invested by the foreigner;
3. In Lithuanian company full-time work Lithuanian, other European Union Member State or European Free Trade Association Member States citizens or aliens permanently residing in Lithuania, whose monthly wage (of all staff) - no less than 2 average monthly wages in Lithuania (1 587 euros);
4. The Lithuanian company operates according to the founding documents for at least the past 6 months until the foreigner's application for a temporary residence permit.

Terms for the issuance and replacement of a temporary residence permit: a temporary residence permit is issued for 1 year and replaced for 2 years. A person may apply for a permanent residence permit to live in Lithuania after living in Lithuania for 5 years. After 10 years, he may apply for Lithuanian citizenship.

Work permit: a foreigner is released from the obligation to obtain a work permit.

From 2017 0 01 01 foreigner‘s family members immigrate together

Prices of the INVESTMENT I immigration program:

Establishment of a company (authorized capital 28000 Euros) – 1200 Euros + Authorized capital – 28 000 Euros.
Or
Purchase of a company (authorized capital 28000 Euros) – 3000 Euros.
Or
Purchase of an operating business – negotiable.

Residence permit: 600-1100 Euros.

Additional services:
Search and selection of an office, lease preparation, representation of the client's interests - 150 Euros (up to 10 hours of work).
Virtual office - 200 Euros per year.
The search, selection and employment of workers - 140 Euros per person.

Minimum costs of running a company:
Taxes from the employee's monthly wage – about 50 % from wage.
The minimum wage per employee – 380 Euros.
Office rent – from 100 Euros per month/ Virtual office – 200 Euros per year.
An accountant – 950 Euros per year, or 100 Euros per month.

Terms:

Time it takes to register a company: approximately 5 - 10 working days.

Time it takes to sell and purchase a company: approximately 5 - 10 working days.

Preparation period of documents for a temporary residence permit in Lithuania: up to 5 working days.

The time it takes to come to a decision – up to 2 - 4 months.

Documents to be submitted to: the Lithuanian diplomatic and consular representatives or Migration Department.

Arrival to Lithuania:

If the documents for a residence permit in Lithuania are submitted to the Lithuanian embassy or a consular office abroad the person will have to arrive to Lithuania only once for card formalisation.  

If the documents for a residence permit in Lithuania are submitted to the Lithuanian Migration Department, the person will have to arrive to Lithuania twice: to submit the documents and to formalise the card when the Migration Department decides to grant the residence permit in Lithuania.

Arriving to Lithuania for the company registration or sale and purchase procedures is not necessary.

 

REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE, BRANCH AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANY immigration program

A foreigner can work and live in Lithuania as a manager or a specialist of a foreign company's representative office, branch or company, and whose knowledge and skills are needed for the operation of a foreign company's representative office, branch or company.

A temporary residence permit to live inLithuania is issued to a foreigner when the following conditions are met:

  1. A foreigner can stay in Lithuania for no more than 3 years to work in a foreign company's representative office, branch or company, which belongs to the same group of companies established in Lithuania, as a manager or specialist;
  2. A foreigner has worked in that foreign company for at least the past year before the date of arrival to Lithuania and whose expertise or high professional qualifications are necessary for the operation of the company, representative office or branch established in Lithuania.

Work permit: a foreigner is released from the obligation to obtain a work permit.

Family members can immigrate together.

Prices of the REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE, BRANCH AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANY immigration program

Establishment of the representative office, branch or company – 1320 Euros.
Residence permit: 600-1100 Euros.

Residence permit for family members (per person) - 450-900 Euros.

Additional services:
Translation of documents - about 70-300 Euros.
Search and selection of an office, lease preparation, representation of the client's interests - 150 Euros (up to 10 hours of work).
Virtual office - 200 Euros per year.

Minimum costs of running a representative office, branch, or company:
Taxes from the employee's monthly wage are around 150 Euros when paying a minimum wage (380 Euros).
The minimum wage per employee – 380 Euros.
Office rent – from 100 Euros per month/ Virtual office – 200 Euros per year.
An accountant – 950 Euros per year, or 100 Euros per month.

Terms:

Time it takes to establish a representative office, branch or company: up to 3-4 weeks.

Preparation period of documents for a temporary residence permit in Lithuania: up to 5 working days.

1. Both spouses establish or purchase a company, or purchase an operating business and meet the following conditions:

3. Both spouses or one of the spouses is an employee(-s) (manager, specialist) of a foreign company or the representative office/ branch of the foreign company and meets the following conditions:

A foreigner can stay in Lithuania for no more than 3 years to work in a foreign company's representative office, branch or company, which belongs to the same group of companies established in Lithuania, as a manageror specialist;

A foreigner has worked in that foreign company for at least the past year before the date of arrival to Lithuania and whose expertise or high professional qualifications are necessary for the operation of the company, representative office or branch established in Lithuania.

Family members immigrate together.
